Working The Line Workshop
Lamorna Village Hall. £5 each. Payment on the door. Bookings through Sue Searle 01736 810218.
Activities to include painting & collage techniques with reference to the theme of this year's festival exhibition - the working history of Lamorna. Canvases will be provided and the results will be exhibited in the ‘Working the Line’ exhibition 16th-21st September and can also, if wished, be donated to the Art Raffle in aid of Breadline.
All children MUST be accompanied by a responsible adult. Spaces limited to 20 participants per session.

The Lamorna Wink, Cove Road. Free entry - a collection will be taken for Breadline
Following the great success of this event last year we are going to repeat it! The famous Lamorna Wink is the perfect setting for our Pints and Poetry evening with it's own particular character it has long been a favourite meeting place for artists and writers, including Dylan Thomas when he stayed here in the 1950s.
It's a relaxed informal evening where anyone who wants to can get up and recite a favourite piece or show off their own poetic skills. Musical interludes by Joe Hemming on fiddle and Mark Manning on guitar. The Wink really comes into it's own on an evening like this.

8.00pm Bagas Porthia Cornish Folk Band
Community House, St.Buryan. £5 per ticket, available on the door.
Cornish and Celtic music. The band combines traditional and contemporary tunes and songs including self-penned material, some of which is in the Cornish language Kernewek, with rich and unusual chords to produce a unique sound, both mellow and full of energy. There will also be "easy to follow" Cornish dances for you to join in - just like a ceilidh without the complications!

Lamorna Nature Walk
Meet outside The Village Hall for a 10am start. Donation to 'Breadline' (St. Petroc’s Society) on the day.
Join Brian, a local wildlife expert for the opportunity to take a guided morning walk around the beautiful coastal woodland valley of Lamorna. The valley encompasses a variety of eco-systems and habitats and Brian will be available to answer questions and point out flora and fauna along the way as you enjoy rambling through the spectacular landscape which has attracted artists and visitors to the area for over a century.
The walk is open to all but may include some hills and uneven stony paths, so please wear appropriate footwear and clothing.

Canvases are all 20cm x 20cm x 2cm and can be dropped in on 15th September at 2pm or given to Lamorna Valley Group members beforehand.
